Chandrababu Naidu Delhi Visit

Chandrababu Naidu Delhi Visit: There is nothing new! It is the same thing once again, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu going to Delhi and returning empty handed. We have seen this happen when TDP government was ruling AP, and CM Chandrababu Naidu going for regular visits to Delhi with promise to bring many things to the state, but every time he managed to come empty handed.

This time he once again he went on a Delhi trip in protest against the attacks on TDP offices and its leaders houses by ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) workers. Chandrababu Naidu said that law and order in the state of AP has failed miserably and wanted President’s rule to be implemented. In fact the former CM wrote letter to President explaining about the “lawlessness in the state” and demanded Presidents rule.

Later he sought appointment with the President Ramnath Kovid and visited Delhi. He met President at the Rastrapathi Bhavan and presented a memorandum seeking President’s rule. As usual Ramnath Kovid took the memorandum and passed it to his staff to look into the matter. It was nothing but a photo-op for Chandrababu Naidu.

Then the sources at TDP claimed that their chief had an appointment with Union Home minister Amit Shah, which later proved to be wrong. In fact this was the same game that Chandrababu Naidu was used to playing while he was the CM. He told the people of AP that he was given time by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, and he would come back to Amaravati only with Special Category Status for the state. He never managed to get appointments in most cases.
Similarly, this time too he was not given appointment by Amit Shah, to cover up the embracement the TDP leaders are claiming that the union Home minister had spoken to Chandrababu Naidu over phone. Political analysts say to speak over phone, des TDP supremo need to go to Delhi, he could have done it sitting in Hyderabad!
The party leaders and workers feel that the entire exercise of going to Delhi was mere waste of time. The TDP leaders in Delhi should have looked into Union Home minister’s appointment and then arranged for the Delhi trip, because he is the person who has to take a call on issues like President’s rule!
But is really illogical to see the party leaders and cadre giving a grand festive welcome to Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada after returning empty handed from his Delhi trip.
