Indian skipper Virat Kohli is currently having a hard time in the ground with almost zero success rate. He has been delivering back to back failures and this made his fans angry with him. He was sent to the pavilion multiple times in test matches for New Zealand and England. Indian fans seem to have lost their patience over his repeated failures and exhausted it through a series of tweets on social platforms.
They are eagerly anticipating for Kohli to get back to the form and let his bat do all the talking. They are criticizing him for his poor performance at the recently held test match with England. Virat played in all the three formats often, but hasn’t excelled in any in the recent times. He didn’t delivered a performance up to his mark in the recent match against England. Virat remained as a golden duck out in the first innings of first Test match held in England.
He gave a catch to James Anderson. With this his fans are quite upset about him. In the second test first innings he did 42 runs and stood as a run out. Even in the second innings he failed to deliver impressive play. He did only 20 runs for 31 balls in the second innings. Netizens are criticizing Kohli and are even trending memes on him. We have to wait and see when Kohli will let his bat talk.

IPL 2022: New Format will feature 74 league games!
Last night, BCCI has announced two new teams of the Indian Premier League. They are the Lucknow franchise, owned by the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, and the Ahmedabad franchise, owned by CVC Capital. With the induction of these two teams, IPL will have more league matches from next season. As per the official reports, there will be 74 matches in total from IPL 2022.
All ten teams will be divided into two groups comprising of five teams each. One team from a group plays two matches each with every other team of its group (one home and one away game). The same team plays one match each with the four teams of the other group (home or away) and two matches with the remaining team of the other group (home and away). In this way, every team gets a chance to play 14 games each.
For example, imagine Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Lucknow, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Kolkata Knight Riders are in one group. Chennai Super Kings, Ahmedabad, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Punjab Kings are in the other group. If that is the case, Mumbai will play two games each with RCB, SRH, Lucknow, and KKR (one home and one away). MI will play one game each with CSK, DC, PBKS, and RR (home or away). It will play two games with Ahmedabad (home and away). On the whole, MI will play 14 matches in total.
The top four teams on the points table will qualify for the playoffs. The playoff process will be the same as the previous editions.
T20 World Cup: Mujeeb and Rashid give Afghanistan a massive victory
Najibullah (59), Hazratullah Zazai (44) and Gurbaz’s (46) brilliance in batting and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (5/20) and Rashid Khan’s (4/9) spin-mastery in bowling handed over Afghanistan its maiden victory in the ongoing T20 World Cup.
With sensational batting and superlative bowling performances, Afghans registered a massive win of 130 runs over Scotland.
Scotland had a huge task ahead in the form of a huge target of 191 runs. They got a good start as openers Munsey and Coetzer scored 27 runs in the first three overs. When everyone thought that Scotland is very much in the chase, Mujeeb unleashed his mystery deliveries and claimed three wickets in the fourth over. In the very next over, Naveen-Ul-Haq dismissed Matthew Cross. After that, the Scotland batters never recovered. They started losing a wicket every over until nine overs. By the end of nine overs, their score was 54/8. In the process, Mujeeb also registered a fifer by giving away only 20 runs in four overs. After Mujeeb’s spell, Rashid Khan took care of the rest of the Scottish batters. With his magical spell of 2.2-0-9-4, Rashid made Scotland go all out for just 60 runs in 10.2 overs.
Afghanistan also showed its prowess on the batting front. Openers Hazratullah and Mohammed Shahzad made a partnership of 54 runs for the first wicket in just 5.5 overs. After their dismissals, Gurbaz and Najibullah took the charge and had hit the Scottish bowlers all over the park. The duo made a partnership of 87 runs for the third wicket. With the help of Najibullah’s brutal innings and Nabi’s little cameo in the end, Afghanistan scored a massive total of 190/4 in 20 overs. Safyaan Sharif (2/33) claimed two wickets and remained the top bowler for Scotland.
In its next game, Scotland will take on Namibia. On the other side, Afghanistan will take on its neighbour Pakistan on October 29.
