Proposing at sporting events has become a norm in the recent past. In the last few years, we have seen many fans going on their knees and proposing to their girlfriends in the stadium. One such incident took place earlier today in Gabba.
England fan proposes his Aussie girlfriend
It is already known that England and Australia are taking on each other at Gabba in the first test match of The Ashes. On the third day of the play, an English supporter decided to propose to his Australian girlfriend. During the drinks break, the girl is having a sip of beer and enjoying her day. Meanwhile, her boyfriend arrived and proposed by getting down on his knees.
Nat (girl) was surprised by the gesture and accepted Rob’s (boyfriend) proposal immediately. As soon as she accepted, fans around them cheered for the couple and they were seen kissing and hugging each other. The video is now going viral all over the internet.
Rob and Nat met each other at a cricket match in 2017. They dated for the last four years and finally, Rob proposed to her today. He felt it was cricket that brought them together and thus, it was only fitting he proposed to her at the stadium during a cricket match.
Coming to the match, England was horrible in the first innings but is fighting hard in the second innings. With the help of Joe Root and Dawid Malan’s responsible partnership, England’s second innings score stands at 220/2. They trail by 58 runs after the end of third day’s play.
