The Government of Andhra Pradesh has recently passed a bill in the state assembly regarding the fixed prices of movie tickets. The government will fix the price and sell all the tickets through a single online portal, which will be maintained by the government itself. This will heavily impact the producers and the distributors but none of them is fighting against the decision.
It has been more than four days since the government passed this bill in the assembly. Moreover, the proposal was put forth several months ago. Few producers and industry big wigs had held talks with the Ministers of Andhra Pradesh but there was no use. Pawan Kalyan gave an hour-long speech regarding the issue and declared a war against the AP government but none of his peers from the industry extended him the support.

Even after passing the bill, only Chiranjeevi condemned the act and requested the government to reconsider its decision. No other star hero has responded to the issue yet. Everyone is trying not to indulge in any trouble by going against the government.
The implementation of this bill will affect producers and distributors because they can’t hike the ticket prices as per the budget of the movie. Thus, many big films may end up as financial failures even though they get a hit talk and run with houseful boards for many days. It has to be seen if Tollywood folks remain silent or fight against the decision in the coming days.
