If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, popular director Tharun Bhascker and his wife Latha Bhascker are heading towards a divorce. A popular news channel has reported the news yesterday.

Tharun started off his career as a short filmmaker. He made his feature debut with Pelli Choopulu. By that time, he was already married to Latha. In fact, Latha worked as a production designer for Tharun’s Sainma, Pelli Choopulu and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi.
It is being heard that things are not going well between Latha and Tharun’s mother Geeta Bhascker for quite some time. For the unversed, Geeta was seen as an actor in films like Fidaa and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi.
It seems that Geeta has been staying away from his son and daughter-in-law for the last few months. We hear that this led to some disturbances in the married life of the director.
