Team India faced the wrath of both analysts and fans after exiting the T20 World Cup in the Super 12 stage. People were criticizing the approach of the team towards the tournament. All plans went wrong in the first two games. Thus, there was no use even though the team went on to win the next three matches. Before the tournament, Virat Kohli stated that he will resign to his T20I captaincy after the World Cup. The same was the case with head coach Ravi Shastri. Both of them relieved their duties after the World Cup. Within no time, new captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid have taken the team duties. They were assigned with a three-match T20I series a week after the World Cup. Even though there was less time, Rohit and Dravid proved their mettle and won the series by 3-0.
Star players like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja were rested for the T20 series. Rohit had to lead youngsters like Ishan Kishan, Venkatesh Iyer, Harshal Patel and Surya Kumar Yadav. All players took the opportunity well and performed to their best in the series.
While it was Rohit and KL Rahul who performed well with the bat, players like Ashwin, Deepak Chahar, Harshal Patel and Axar Patel have proved themselves with the ball. Young all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer also shined with both bat and the ball.

On the whole, Rohit and Dravid became successful in their first assignment and started their journey to the 2022 T20 World Cup in style. It is important for them to make use of all the T20I series in the next 11 months and prepare a balanced side for the World Cup.
