Cricketer Hanuma Vihari is a calm person both on and off the field. He was never found himself in any controversy in his career until now. But now, he made it to the headlines due to an alleged rift with Telugu Desam Party. The spat went so overboard that Vihari had to shut down his philanthropy trust, Vihari Foundation.
If we get into the story, Vihari runs an NGO called Vihari Foundation. Right from the COVID-19 pandemic, he and his team have been providing social services to the public regularly. The social media handles of this foundation used to be highly active and also provided help for many people who sought help.
But Vihari Foundation never publicized its work. Recently, the team of this organization conducted a relief camp in the flood-affected areas of Tirupati. On the flip side, Telugu Desam Party’s NTR Trust also provided help for the flood victims in the area. In the process, the social media handle of NTR Trust shared a few pictures on the internet. Soon, Vihari Foundation alleged that the pictures are of their relief camp. It added that if there are a couple of people who are seen wearing NTR Trust t-shits, that doesn’t mean the services are being provided by that organization.
Soon, NTR Trust came up with proof and manifested that the photos belong to their camp. Vihari Foundation realized the mistake. They stated that it happened due to a miscommunication and further apologized to the NTR Trust publicly. But the fans of TDP and NTR Trust didn’t accept the apology and started cursing Vihari Foundation. The heavy online abuse eventually led the Foundation to shut down.
In its final Twitter statement, Vihari Foundation stated, “We don’t belong to any political party nor we have any political agenda. It was a misunderstanding with @ntrtrust and @jaitdp. We have faced severe personal abuse and caste abuse in the last 24 hours.”

“We have given our best in the last 6 months irrespective of caste, religion or any political party. We no longer are continuing our foundation. Thank You,” it further added. Thus, TDP fans have eventually become the reason for the shutdown of the Vihari Foundation.
