India is all set to take on New Zealand in its virtual knockout game in just a few minutes. The stage is set in the Dubai International Stadium. Both teams have lost their respective first games against Pakistan and are eager to get a victory. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Most of the teams have won games while chasing in Dubai. The dew factor later in the night will help the chasing teams in the second innings. That is the reason why New Zealand’s skipper Kane Williamson chose to field first. He said that they will look forward to restricting India for a moderate score and chasing it quite comfortably. The Kiwis made one change by replacing Tim Seifert will Adam Milne. Kane said that Devon Conway will keep the wickets. The NZ skipper said that they made the change to make the bowling attack a bit better.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli said that he would have also liked to bowl first if won the toss. He opined that the team India will now need a solid start from the top-order batters to post a big total on the scoreboard. Surya Kumar Yadav has been replaced by Ishan Kishan as the former is suffering from a back spasm. Shardul Thakur replaced Bhuvneshwar Kumar to strengthen the batting lineup. The game starts at 07.30 PM.
