T20 World Cup: After a humiliating loss against Pakistan, Team India wants to bounce back hard with its second match against New Zealand. This is going to be a virtual knockout for both teams because they have lost their respective first matches against Pakistan.
Historically, India and New Zealand clashed eight times in all ICC tournaments. While the Kiwis managed to win seven of them, India emerged victorious in only one game. New Zealand had also beaten India in the semifinal of the 2019 World Cup and the final of the World Test Championship 2021.
The Virat Kohli-led men will be looking forward to taking revenge on the Kiwis this time but it is not going to be an easy task. Indian bowling lineup looked weak in the first game and it has to be seen how they handle New Zealand batters like Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson, Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips in this game.
There is a huge responsibility on the Indian batting lineup to step up and prove themselves. After a disastrous performance in the first game, Indian batters will be hungry to go all guns blazing this time. On the whole, we have an interesting contest ahead of us.
Most likely, both India and New Zealand will play the same teams that they played against Pakistan respectively. The game starts at 07.30 PM IST and will be held in Dubai.
