T20 World Cup: Cricket fans across the world were busy with the IPL and the T20 World Cup for the last two months. All the fun will end tonight as we are heading towards the mega final of the T20 World Cup. Longtime rivals Australia and New Zealand will play against each other in this historic match. Neither of these teams has won a T20 World Cup yet. Thus, it will be a crucial game for both teams.
Australia had beaten tournament favourites Pakistan in a thrilling chase to qualify for the final. The form of David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Wade will be a huge advantage for them. They have a deep batting strength and can be the favourites if they get a chance to chase the target.
On the flip side, New Zealand is no less strong too. It has lost only one game until now in the tournament. They have a genius captain in the form of Kane Williamson. He has led them to the WTC title earlier this year. Fans are waiting to see him lift the T20 World Cup as well, especially after the heartbreaks of the 2015 and the 2019 World Cup. While Australia’s strength is batting, New Zealand has been strong in the bowling department. It will be interesting to see how NZ bowlers restrict Aussie batters.
Just like in the previous games, toss may play a key role in this match too. NZ will miss Devon Conway in this game as he is out of the tournament due to an injury. Tim Seifert may replace him. Meanwhile, Australia will most likely play the same playing XI from the semifinal game. The match will be held in Dubai and starts at 07.30 PM IST.
