Boxing, Weightlifting and modern pentathlon (fencing, freestyle swimming, equestrian show jumping, a final combined event of pistol shooting and cross country running) are in danger of not being a part of the Olympics from 2028.

Boxing and Weightlifting
International Olympic Committee has removed all three sports from the initial sporting events list of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The final approval of this list will be taken from the IOC members in February 2022.
IOC President Thomas Bach raised concerns with the leadership of boxing and weightlifting sports and their issues with corruption and doping.
Meanwhile, IOC proposed to remove equestrian show jumping from the modern pentathlon. This move made the committee receive a heavy backlash from the athletes.
On the other side, Skateboarding, Surfing and Sports Climbing, which made their debut in the Tokyo Olympics, made it to the list of 2028 Los Angeles Olympics proposed sporting events.
