Samantha is one of the successful heroines in the South Cinema. The actress enjoys a big fan base in both Telugu and Tamil film industries. The Ye Maya Chesave actress is in the spotlight now for signing Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, in Sukumar’s direction. For the first time in her career, Samantha will be doing a special song and she has quoted a big amount for the same.

Initially, the film unit wanted a Bollywood actress to do this special dance number in Pushpa. However, the actresses that team Pushpa approached turned down the offer because of dates issues. Since Sukumar already worked with star heroine Pooja Hegde for an item number in Rangasthalam, the director went ahead to approach the Rangasthalam leading lady with the proposal of the special item number.
Samantha is reportedly waiting to grab big projects in South as well as Bollywood. She seems to have felt that Pushpa will keep her on the trending lists and she could also grab more offers.
As per the latest reports in trade, the makers will be spending more than 2 Cr rupees for Samantha and it includes her remuneration as well as GST. For four days, the actress is almost charging an amount close to 2 Cr.
