Rajinikanth was admitted to a Kauvery private hospital in Chennai. According to the reports, Rajinikanth was admitted only for a regular checkup. Latha Rajinikanth, the wife of Rajinikanth said that he is doing absolutely well and has been admitted only for full body chekup. She further added that he will remain in the hospital for a day and will undergo some tests.
In December 2020, he was admitted to Apollo hospital in Hyderabad after Superstar experienced fluctuation in his blood pressure. He was in hospital for two days and later discharged. After coming out of the hospital, Rajinikanth who was supposed to start the political party said that, “I see this as a warning given to me by the Lord. If I campaigned only through the media and social media after I started the party, I would not be able to create the political upheaval among people and win big in the elections. No one with political experience will deny this reality.”
We all know that Rajinikanth in the past has undergone a kidney transplant.
On the professional front, Rajinikanth will be seen in Annaatthe, is slated to hit the theatres on November 4. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the movie has been financed by Sun Pictures. On October 27, Annaatthe was screened at a private studio in Chennai. Rajinikanth along with his family watched the movie at the private screening on Wednesday.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday conferred Rajinikanth with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. The award ceremony was held after two years due to the coronavirus pandemic and these awards, announced in March this year, were for movies released in 2019.
Rajinikanth said, “I dedicate this award to my guru, my mentor K Balachander sir. I thank my brother Sathyanarayana Rao – he is a father figure in my life – for giving me great values and to my friend, driver and transport colleague, Raj Bahadur.” Rajinikanth said that he spotted the acting talent in him and encouraged him to join cinema.”
