Rajamouli: Pan-India films have become a trend these days but it was made popular by SS Rajamouli. His Baahubali franchise proved that regional films can do well at a pan-India level. Baahubali was made as a Telugu-Tamil bilingual. However, Tamil audiences considered it as a dubbing flick. Apparently, Rajamouli was hurt by that statement.
The star director interacted with the Tamil media the other day in Chennai. During the press meet, he said that Baahubali was made in both Tamil and Telugu as a bilingual flick but still, the Tamil people called it a ‘Dubbing Padam’. “I was really hurt,” said Rajamouli jokingly.
He further added that the backdrop and the premise he chooses will decide the language he shoots the films in. The Eega director was also asked if he will make a film with Superstar Rajinikanth if given a chance. Rajamouli stated that he will definitely work with Rajinikanth if he is provided with the right script.
