SS Rajamouli is one of the popular filmmakers in the Telugu film industry. The director has put the Telugu Cinema on the National and International fronts. The filmmaker is currently busy with the promotions of his next film RRR. Jr NTR and Ram Charan are playing the lead roles in the movie, scheduled for a grand release next year. The film’s trailer is out and it has created a sensation across the nation. However, the talk of the town is that the director has put the film’s editor aside and roped in another editor to make the trailer cut.
Rajamouli
It is a usual practice in the Telugu film industry to rope in different editors for a film to cut the trailer, teaser, and other promos. The filmmakers will not trouble the in-house editors and hire freelancers for trailer cuts. For a prestigious film like RRR, National award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad can actually do magic with his editing but he did not cut the film’s trailer.
Praveen Anthony earlier worked for a lot of Tamil films and also edited Balakrishna’s Jai Simha. He made the trailer cut of RRR.
The film unit did not give any reason for this change in the editor but it could be one of the strategies of Rajamouli to bring in a different approach for the movie.
Whatever it may be, the trailer opened to a positive response from everyone. So, the strategy worked!
