Popular world Badminton champion PV Sindhu is currently busy playing at the Indonesia Open Super 1000 event in Bali. Sindhu is one of the nine candidates who got nominated for the 6 positions. After her success in Olympics, Sindhu is the center of attraction in the Indian sports community. Now, she is set to up her game outside the court!
According to the latest reports in the media, the two-time Olympic medalist is now gearing up to contest the elections.
As per the buzz, PV Sindhu will be contesting the BWF Athletes Commission election which will be held during the World Championships in Spain on December 17th. Sindhu is the only current athletes’ Commission member standing for re-election. She was first elected in 2017 and is one of the six women representatives running the cycle.

PV Sindhu will now be joining hands with Indonesian women’s Doubles Player Greysia Polii who is the gold medalist at Tokyo Olympics.
For the unversed, BWF (Badminton World Federation) Athletes Commission is the Athletes’ Commission that aims is to represent the needs and views of athletes to the BWF Council and Committees.
