Prashant Kishor’s New Move: Poll strategist Prashant Kishor after having broken terms with Congress made a surprise announcement that he would start a political party and contest the 2024 General elections. This news was a political storm and everyone started discussing about what his party would do which none of the existing political parties have failed to achieve!
Even as the debate of PK starting a new party and also having named it was circulating in the social media. The strategist himself came out and announced in a press conference that he would go on a 3,000 km “padyatra” in Bihar, stating that he won’t be forming a political party as of now.

He said that in line with his previous announcement about working for the people, he will be travelling across Bihar from October 2, meeting people at their houses to understand their grievances.
Adding that there are no elections in Bihar in near future, PK said that a political party was not on the cards. He said that if a political party is formed, it won’t be under his name but he will collaborate with those who form it.
He said that he will carry out a ‘padyatra’ beginning October 2 to uplift Bihar. Announcing his “Jan Suraj” (people’s good governance) poll campaign in the state, Prashant Kishor said, “I will start a 3000-km padyatra [rally] from West Champaran Gandhi Ashram on October 2 with the aim to cover most of Bihar.”
“We will reach out to people at their offices, knock on their doors to understand them, their issues and expectations. I am going to talk to around 17,000-18,000 people, who are aware of the problems in Bihar, and try to bring them on a single platform. We should be able to complete the process by August-September. If they think that a political platform needs to be launched to achieve the desired goals, we will decide on the same then. However, it won’t be Prashant Kishor’s party, it will be the people’s party,” PK said.

He spoke about ‘turning a page — starting from Bihar — sparking rumours of a new political party. “My quest to be a meaningful participant in democracy & help shape pro-people policy led to a 10yr rollercoaster ride! As I turn the page, time to go to the Real Masters, THE PEOPLE, to better understand the issues & the path to “Jan Suraj”-Peoples Good Governance,” PK said in a tweet last week.
