Stalking is one of the most ignored forms of harassment in our country. A lot of women get harassed in India through stalking. Even actors are no exception in this case. Recently, star Malayalam actress Parvathy Thiruvothu filed a case against a stalker who has been troubling her for a long time.

Maradu police in Ernakulam district arrested Harshan who has been stalking Parvathy. As per the reports, he is around the age of 34 or 35. He had been frequently visiting Parvathy’s houses in Kochi and Kozhikode.
The cops have taken him into custody under section 354 D (stalking) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Apparently, the accused had visited Parvathy’s house twice with food parcels.
The first time, Parvathy’s family members asked him not to come again. But he came back again and caused trouble by getting into an argument with the security.
It was also heard that the stalker had been messaging Parvathy for the last two years. As he caused trouble to the family, Parvathy finally lodged a complaint against him.

A couple of years ago, Parvathy filed a case against another stalker who claimed to be a lawyer and filmmaker. A case was registered against him under section 354D of the IPC and under section 1200 of the Kerala Police Act (causing nuisance and violence of public order).
