PM Narendra Modi
In his last meet with the nation, Modi has announced that the procurement of vaccines is their responsibility and the state governments need not worry about it anymore. There are many doubts regarding this statement from PM Modi due to the prevalence of acute vaccination shortage in the country.
Now, the experts submitted a report which is indeed a worrying sign for the citizens. “Mass, indiscriminate and incomplete vaccination can trigger the emergence of mutant strains,” the report submitted by the health experts to Modi said.
It is known that the happening Indian ‘Delta Variant’ is the biggest concern in the UK which has reportedly vaccinated 75% of their total population. The same variant is expected to return to India in the third wave that mostly affects children who may have symptoms that last for 12 weeks.
The report from health experts including doctors from AIIMS also said that there is no need to inoculate those who had recovered from COVID infection. Vaccinating the people at risk and those who are vulnerable to Novel Coronavirus should be a top priority
Hence there is an immediate need for the rampant production of vaccines and accelerate the process of the approval of foreign vaccines at the earliest. Otherwise, India has to face the wrath of the new COVID strains which proved deadly in the happening second wave.
