Padmasri Garikapati; Chinmayi questions it’s worth and gets trolled

Padmasri Garikapati; The central government has recently announced the Padma Shri award winners for this year and famous Telugu Avadhani Garikapati Narasimha Rao also conferred the prestigious award in the literature category for his contribution towards society and also his speeches on personality development and Hindu culture. However, a few people are questioning his lectures and singer Chinmayi Sripaada is one of them.

Garikapati Narasimha Rao usually discusses the Hindu epics Ramayana, Mahabharatha, Bhagavadgita and mostly promote the Hindu culture. In one of his earlier videos, Garikapati said that men cannot control themselves when women show their body parts openly.

While discussing the topic Rape, Garikapati made these comments, and people like Chinmayi have found it wrong. She has shared the video and wrote, “Even he cannot control himself when he sees women dressed a certain way and How could the younger boys be expected to do it? He composed a song based on a woman he saw and wrote ‘aavida sri varu pakkanunnaro ledho teliyadhu kaani…’.It shows the kinda men, other men respect,” said Chinmayi. She also shared screenshots of him speaking spoke about women’s dressing and hairstyles.

“Because of the soft power they have, so many families follow and think of him as a great person. But what I shared is for the women. As usual, all the hate / abusive tweets and comments are from the men,” added Chinmayi.

“I ended up getting a lot more content where Garikapati has gone on and on about actresses, a lady he saw at an airport with long hair and flowers so he decided to compose a ‘padyam’ ‘aavida sri varu pakkanunnaro ledho teliyadhu kaani…” he goes on :). I dont see why I should share the way he’s gone on about how he isn’t able to control himself at his age. Anyway, it shows the kinda men, other men respect. Women clearly have woken up to this.” she wrote.

“Men of religion say whatever the heck they want because they have a captive audience and eventually their misogyny, rape culture, body shaming, everything comes to the fore. Because of the soft power these men have entire families follow and think of him as great. What I shared is for the women. Of the younger generation. Identify that these are problematic ideas. And the people. And keep far away.” she wrote.

For these comments about Garikapati, Chinmayi is getting trolled a lot on social media. We have to see if she has more to say about him getting the prestigious Padma award.
