Looks like Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to take Telangana seriously and has decided to expand its presence in all sectors and through all means. One such programme is called Operation Aakrash. But this time the agenda of Operation Aakarsh is bit different from what we have seen till date. The Telangana BJP is not targeting popular leaders from rival parties but is looking at people with good following in the public.

Teenmar Mallanna
It is said that the top leadership of the BJP is not happy with the inclusion of few imports from other parties. The party considers them to be white elephants rather than being winning horses! So the BJP has targeted at leaders and public figure that have good following and are respected for their deeds rather than politics. In the process it has identified a list of people who will be attracted in phase manner and get ready for 2023 assembly elections.
He BJP has clearly given hints to rival parties, leaders and its own cadre that it will not entertain leaders from Telangana Rastra Samiti (TRS) and Congress. Keeping the Operation Aakarsh in form and getting leaders into its fold, the state BJP has been working on different aspects. As part of this, it has roped in popular anchor Teenmar Mallanna and also for public service commission member C Vittal. It is said these two, who have considerable following in the public, will be embracing saffron flag next week in the presence of state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

The party leadership is said to be unhappy with some of the leaders who have joined from other parties. “Pre-condition to join the BJP would be that the leaders should bring in a large group of supporters and activists. The BJP will be looking only such leaders. Operation Aakarsh will not mean that we take whoever comes our way. It is planned to make the BJP more stronger and sure shot winner in 2023,” said a senior party leader in Hyderabad.
