Things are not going well in the Indian cricket circles for the last few days. Ever since Virat Kohli was axed from the ODI captaincy, BCCI has been facing backlash from fans and cricket experts as well. The events that followed also proved that there is no proper communication between the players and the board.

Sourav Ganguly vs Virat Kohli
When asked about Virat Kohli’s removal from the captaincy, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said that he requested Kohli not to give up the T20 captaincy when the latter decided to do so, in September this year. Later, Kohli was removed from the ODI captaincy as well because the board has felt that there cannot be two skippers in white-ball cricket.
Just a few days back, Kohli made contradictory statements to Ganguly’s words. He said that he was not requested by anyone to withdraw the T20 captaincy decision when he proposed it to the BCCI. This statement proved that things are not going well in Indian cricket.
The other day, Ganguly was asked by the media about Kohli’s contradictory statements. He then said, “No comments. BCCI will look into the matter.” It has to be seen if BCCI makes any further statement in this issue.
