SS Rajamouli turned everyone’s attention towards him with just a single film. Titled Baahubali, the film was released in two parts as, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion. With appealing visuals, grandeur, and intense action sequences, Rajamouli came up with the best-ever period-action drama set in a fiction backdrop. With the release of Marakkar in Malayalam, Rajamouli is back in the news.
Director Rajamouli has no connection with the film Marakkar but the Malayalam film’s failure has resulted in appreciation to Rajamouli. People who watched Marakkar are drawing comparisons with Baahubali. The people apparently felt that director Priyadarshan failed to pull off a blockbuster and failed to recreate what Rajamouli could do.

Marakkar is a period drama that is based on a real story but the film lacks the emotion that could drive the film forward. Baahubali had everything in the perfect place and emotion is the crucial part of the film.
Marakkar has been awarded the National Film Award. The film bagged multiple National Awards but it has put a flop show in theatres, resulting in everyone coming to a conclusion that only director Rajamouli could achieve success with period dramas and no one else can make an impressive mark.
With RRR, Rajamouli is coming again to make his charm work. Let us hope he scores a hit again!
