For the last few weeks, it has been heavily rumored that Samantha is planning to shift her base to Mumbai and focus on Bollywood. The rumors started when she amassed huge fame with her performance in The Family Man season 2.
The speculations further intensified when she announced separation from her husband Naga Chaitanya. However, the Majili actress cleared all the rumors and clarified that she belongs to Telugu cinema and it is her home.
According to a Times of India report, when a fan asked about her experience of working in southern and northern film industries, Samantha said, “Am I really a part of the ‘northern’ film industry? The Telugu film industry is home to me.”
“Hyderabad will always be home. And the people here will always have a special place in my heart,” Samantha further added.

The 34-year-old actress will be soon seen in the Tamil film Kathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
In Telugu, she will be next seen in the mythological epic Shaakuntalam, which is being directed by Gunashekhar. She is also doing a special song in Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Pushpa.
