It has been a long time since we saw Nani on the silver screen. His last theatrical release was Gang Leader which was released in 2019. His last two films, V and Tuck Jagadish had a direct digital release on Amazon Prime Video. After a gap of more than two years, he is now coming up with his latest theatrical release Shyam Singha Roy. Nani seems to be super confident about this movie’s success. However, his statements look a bit over-confident, opined some of the netizens.
Shyam Singha Roy’s pre-release event was held in Warangal last night. Speaking at the event, Nani said that the movie has come out very well and he is highly confident about its success. “There are many big releases lined up with us but I’m not afraid of it. People are saying that Pushpa and RRR’s releases will sandwich our film. But they have to understand that bread on top and bottom will always be good but it is the stuff in the middle which makes a sandwich delicious,” he stated.
A few netizens opined that Nani is a bit overconfident in his speech. It has been more than two years since he came up with a theatrical release and Shyam Singha Roy is not a regular template commercial film.
They further opined that the lineup of big releases will try to dent Shyam Singha Roy’s collections and the film has to be extraordinary in order to attract the audiences amid this packed festive season. Anyway, we have to wait until December 24 to know whether Nani is confident or over-confident.
