IPL 2022: The Vijay Hazare Trophy-winning captain Rishi Dhawan finally got his first game in IPL 2022 recently. This Himachal all-rounder is playing in an IPL after almost six years as he was last seen in the IPL 2016. Rishi Dhawan had last represented the Punjab Kings during IPl 2016 and is once again playing for the same team after all these years. In one of the recent matches of IPL matches that happened between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium, Rishi played his fifth match against CSK.

Interestingly, during the game with CSK, Rishi was seen bowling by wearing a special nose shield. It has now sparked a debate about how young Indian players might be facing injuries and it is subsequently going to affect their performance during the International tournaments when they represent the country.
While many are surprised why he was wearing the face mask, the reason behind it is that he was hit on the face by a ball during the second round of the Ranji Trophy that took place earlier this year. This caused a big injury to his nose and he had surgery. And this made him wear a shield to protect his nose from any kind of nasal and orbital injuries.

It says that the players are worried about their health condition but then the franchises and the board is encouraging the players to take part in the tournament. However, the star players might be facing injuries if they are not given enough rest.
