IPL 2022: Sunrisers Hyderabad released their most valuable player David Warner ahead of IPL 2022. Warner had been a key part of the SRH camp since 2014. He led the team to the playoffs multiple times and also gave them the title in 2016. Warner was also the leading run-scorer for the team every season he played. He also won the orange cap several times in the league. Leaving Warner was a tough decision but SRH had to take it due to the differences raised with him in the 2021 season. Now, the Australian southpaw is planning to get to the mega auction.

IPL 2022
All the eight existing IPL teams have announced their retentions a few days back. Now, the two new teams, Lucknow and Ahmedabad, have a chance of buying three players each from the released players’ list. They have a deadline till December 25. Warner will be one of the first choices for both teams because he is a star T20 player and is in red-hot form right now. He also won the man of the series award in the T20 World Cup.
However, Warner confirmed that he will be taking part in the mega auction and indirectly stated that he is not interested in getting bought ahead of the auction.
“Warner bro, What’s up about IPL?” asked a fan recently on Instagram. Replying to him, Warner stated, “auction I guess.” With this statement, Warner indirectly confirmed that he will be taking part in the auction.
