Indian football team’s goalkeeper Amrinder Singh is vexed up? Want to know why? He took to his Twitter and urged the media persons and journalists to stop tagging him on micro blogging site instead of the former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
His tweet reads, “Dear News Media, Journalists, I am Amrinder Singh, Goalkeeper of Indian Football Team and not the Former Chief Minister of the State Punjab. Please stop tagging me.”
Just a couple of minutes after the Amrinder Singh’s post, the former Punjab CM retweeted his tweet and wrote, “I empathise with you, my young friend. Good luck for your games ahead.”
Recently, Captain Amarinder Singh resigned. Many expected that he would join BJP but in an interview with news media channel, he said that, he will not remain in Congress and is not planning to join BJP. Speaking to a news agency, he said that, “I have been in politics for 52 years. I have my own beliefs, my own principles. The way I have been treated. At 10.30 am the Congress President says you resign. I didn’t ask any questions. I said I will do it just now. At 4 pm I went to the Governor and resigned. If you doubt me after 50 years and my credibility is at stake. If there is no trust, what is the point of me staying in the party?”
