India vs New Zealand: India is all set to take on New Zealand in the third and final T20I of the ongoing bilateral series. This is technically a dead rubber as India won the first two games and sealed the series. However, the team is looking forward to whitewashing the series by winning this final game. Meanwhile, the toss has just happened. Rohit won the toss and chose to bat first.

This is the third time Rohit won the toss in this series. In the first two games, he chose to bowl first. This time, he elected to bat. Team India made two changes. KL Rahul and Ravichandran Ashwin are rested for this game. Ishan Kishan and Yuzvendra Chahal have replaced them.

On the flip side, New Zealand’s stand-by T20 captain Tim Southee was rested as well. Mitchell Santner took over the captaincy responsibilities in this absence. Lockie Ferguson has replaced Southee. New Zealand made only that one change for this match.
The pitch report stated that the surface will favour batters. The smaller dimensions of the field also help the batsmen to score big. Chasing would have been ideal at this venue but it has to be seen if India can defend the score successfully.
