Team India is all set to seal the bilateral Test series against New Zealand with 1-0. While the first Test has ended up as a draw, the second Test will definitely have a result and it will be out tomorrow. India is just 5 wickets away from the victory. New Zealand needs to either chase 400 more runs with 5 wickets in hand or try to bat for the next two days in order to escape the defeat.
India started batting today with an overnight score of 69/0. Openers Pujara (47) and Mayank Agarwal (62) continued their partnership further and made a century-stand together. After completing his half-century, Mayank got out. Within no time, even Pujara was dismissed. After that, Shubman Gill (47) and captain Virat Kohli (36) have settled the innings together. They made a partnership of 82 runs for the third wicket. Once Gill got out, New Zealand managed to take other wickets quickly. When the team’s total was at 276/7, Kohli declared. While Ajaz Patel claimed 4 wickets (4/106), Rachin Ravindra scalped 3 wickets (3/56). India got a lead of 539 runs.

Chasing a target of 540 is never easy and that too in the second innings. As expected, the Kiwi batters fumbled once again in front of the Indian bowlers. Ashwin was exceptional with the ball yet again and scalped the first three wickets (3/27). Axar got one wicket as well (1/42). By the end of the day, New Zealand made a total of 140 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Henry Nicholls and Rachin Ravindra are in the crease. It has to be seen how much time India will take to get New Zealand all-out tomorrow.
