International Cricket Council (ICC) has recently concluded the T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE. Now, it has announced the series of host nations that will host the upcoming ICC events. India will be hosting the 2023 ODI World Cup. It will then co-host the 2026 T20 World Cup with Sri Lanka. It will also host the Champions Trophy in 2029.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will host the 2025 Champions Trophy. It will be the first time Pakistan will be hosting an ICC event after a gap of almost two decades. It last hosted the ODI World Cup in 1996. Interestingly, the USA will co-host the 2024 T20 World Cup along with West Indies. It seems that ICC is planning to bid cricket for the 2028 Olympics and that is the reason why it has chosen the USA as the co-hosting venue for the T20 World Cup.
The 2030 T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by Ireland, England and Scotland. This will be the first time since 1999 that Ireland and Scotland have hosted a major ICC event.
