Raviteja and Puri Jagannadh share a very good rapport with each other and both of them collaborated for five movies. All the movies turned out as blockbusters. Raviteja and Puri have worked together for Itlu Sravani Subramanyam, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, Idiot, and Neninthe.
He stepped into film industry with a guest spot on Ravi Raja Pinisetty’s Kannada movie, Abhimanyu in 1990. Later he appeared in movies like ‘Vandemataram’ (1990), ‘Karthavyam’ (1990), ‘Chaitanya’ (1991), ‘Aaj Ka Goonda Raj’ (1992), ‘Ninne Pelladutha’ (1996), etc.
He also worked as an assistant director.
Raviteja went to audition for Kshana Kshanam. He went to the office with a single photo wrapped in a newspaper.
Director YVS Chowdary and Raviteja were roommates. YVS Chowdary gifted a Sai Baba bracelet to Raviteja and he used to wear it all the time. But, later when Raviteja was hurt badly by metal during a fight scene, he stopped wearing the bracelet.
