Finally, the suspense has ended. All the eight existing IPL teams have announced their retained players list officially just about a while ago. Most of the predictions turned out to be true and there are quite a few surprises as well.

IPL 2022
Punjab Kings has retained the least no. of players (2) and has a huge purse remaining (Rs. 72 crores). Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals retained four players each. While the first three teams are left with a purse amount of Rs. 48 crore each, Delhi has the least purse remaining among the eight teams (Rs. 47.5 crores).
Many star overseas players like David Warner, Jofra Archer, Rashid Khan, Ben Stokes and Kagiso Rabada were left by their teams. Indian stars like KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina are left as well.
All the left out players either make a deal with any of the two new IPL teams (Lucknow and Ahmedabad) or enrol themselves on the mega auction.

Rajasthan Royals: Sanju Samson (14 cr), Jos Buttler (10 cr), Yashasvi Jaiswal (4 cr)
