India is one of the worst-hit nations with COVID-19. After showing a decline in the number of COVID-19 cases from the past few days, India on Wednesday reported 35,178 new COVID-19 cases and 440 deaths in the last 24 hours. Kerala is one of the states where more than 61% of new cases have been reported. The total number of coronavirus cases have been increased to 3,22,85,857 while the death toll is 4,32,519.
A total of 37,169 people have been discharged after treatment in the past 24 hours, taking cumulative recoveries to around 3.15 crore. The recovery rate is 97.52 percent – the highest since March last year. Nearly 55 lakh vaccine doses have been administered in the last 24 hours.
The government of India is taking all the measures to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country. Some of the analysts are predicting that there is a chance of a third wave in the country. In the second wave, India suffered a lot.
