Sunrisers Hyderabad will be filled with a new team and new coaching staff from IPL 2022. Already, the management has retained only three players from the existing squad. The franchise has retained Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad and Umran Malik ahead of the mega auction. Now, even the changes are being made in the support staff as well.
Trevor Bayliss and Brad Haddin have been relieved from their duties as the head coach and the batting coach respectively. Tom Moody, who is the team’s director, will now be the head coach. He worked in the same position for SRH before Bayliss’ appointment.
The interesting news is that former South African speedster Dale Steyn is in talks to be the bowling coach of the team. Steyn has retired from all formats of cricket last year. Thus, he is being offered the position of bowling coach now. SRH is known for grooming young bowlers and the management feels that Steyn will be adding more depth to their support staff.

Steyn has a long association with Hyderabad. He has been a part of Deccan Chargers as well as the Sunrisers Hyderabad from 2011-2016. He was an integral part of the Hyderabad franchises. If he accepts the role, it will be like a homecoming for him. An official announcement about Dale’s inclusion may get declared soon. IPL 2022 will begin in April next year.
