Bigg Boss Tamil 5: Star actor Kamal Haasan has been tested positive for the coronavirus a few days ago. He is currently undergoing treatment at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai. Meanwhile, Kamal had been forced to skip his professional commitments due to COVID-19.

The actor is currently hosting Bigg Boss Tamil season 5. As he is still recovering in hospital, Kamal is replaced by Ramya Krishna as the interim host. Ramya will take over the charges from today.
It is reported that the actress will host Bigg Boss Tamil until Kamal comes back after recovery. Hosting Bigg Boss is not a new task for Ramya.
She had earlier hosted a couple of weekend episodes for Bigg Boss Telugu season 3 when Nagarjuna flew abroad for a holiday.
Meanwhile, Tamil Bigg Boss fans are eagerly waiting to see the hosting skills of Ramya. The makers released a promo of the TV show where Kamal tells the inmates about his health condition and introduces Ramya as the host.
On the career front, Ramya Krishna is currently acting in Bangarraju, which is being directed by Kalyana Krishna. She is paired alongside Nagarjuna in the movie. Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty are playing the other lead roles in this flick.
