Bandi Sanjay and KCR: In a retort to what Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao spoke on Sunday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today called for a media conference in Hyderabad only to take up the challenge thrown by KCR and also indicate that BJP was game for war as called by the CM. Calling all the allegations levied by KCR, Bandi said people know who is a liar and who is genuine!
Bandi in his response reminded people that KCR government had increased the value added tax (VAT) by 4% in 2015 itself. “It was complete lie from the chief minister saying that all through the seven years they have never increased VAT. In fact Telangana is among the highest VAT seeking states in the country. It is second position,” he said.
The Telangana BJP president questioned people to tell him what KCR had done in the seven years for the farmers. “Due to misrule and bad governance, the state has been witnessing large number of farmer suicides. The claim of having harvested 62 lakh acres of land with paddy is also a scam and this has to be thoroughly investigated. Without helping the farmers, in fact he has confused them by saying cultivate paddy, later saying no to paddy and asking them to cultivate cotton. Today the farmers in the state are in state of confusion and unable to make any decision,” Bandi mentioned.
“It was unfortunate that when the whole state was expecting him to reduce prices of petrol and diesel, he came up with a media conference only to accuse Union government and BJP,” the BJP leader said. He called upon people to realise that it was KCR who was making false promises and BJP was the party which stand by its word.
In the same tone, Bandi Sanjay ridiculed KCR’s claim was going to Delhi and protest against farm laws. He questioned what KCR had done during his earlier visit, when he promised the people of the state that he will make the Union government withdraw the laws. “Similarly now also KCR will not be able to make any impact with his so-called protests in Delhi,” he said and suggested KCR to form a ministry of lies in the state government!
