Amit Shah: What transpired between Amit Shah, CM Ramesh, Sujana Chowdhary?

Published by Jayadev k On November 16, 2021

Amit Shah: Senior BJP leader Amit Shah, who had come to Tirupati for chairing the Southern Zonal Council meeting, took it an opportunity to meet Andhra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders after the meeting. A power packed session that lasted around two hours was more of a brain storming session for state leaders and also laid the roadmap for the future of the party in AP.

Though Amit Shah was conspicuous in his opinion about Telugu desam Party (TDP) and said that there was no chance of yet another alliance with the party. “TDP is a gone case. It is facing a leadership crisis. That has caused a political vacuum and we have to capture that space,” he said, according to a news agency report. It looks like a half-hearted comment by senior leader against TDP. Moreover his closed-door meeting with two Rajya Sabha members CM Ramesh and Sujana Chowdhary, both of them have jumped from TDP to BJP have raised doubts of the intentions of BJP.

It is known fact that the national party doesn’t have a base in AP and its alliance partner, Kana Sena Party (JSP) too is not as rooted as TDP. This was directly experienced during the recent Budvel assembly constituency by-election! BJP decided to contest the election, while TDP opted out since it wanted to play sympathy card. JSP too came forward to support BJP candidate. But by the time of closing of campaign, it was clearly understood that the national party lacked cadre at even be booth agents for the party!

It is said that the BJP then approached TDP to appoint its workers as booth agents for BJP. Keeping this in mind, Amit Shah seems to have hinted at CM Ramesh and Sujana Chowdhary to look at the possibility of patching the alliance with TDP. “If BJP has to give a tough fight to ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in AP, they have to join hands with TDP or Congress. Since the latter is ruled out at any cost, so it is the former which will be on the forefront of the minds of BJP leaders. Moreover it is being said TDP was also looking at joining hands with BJP and JSP and defeat YSRCP. So this is a possibility very soon,” said senior journalist in Vijayawada.

With all these in the minds, people are making wild guesses about the meeting between Amit Shah with Ramesh and Sujana Chowdhary! Very soon the cat will be out of the bag and we will continue to record it for people.
