Recently, Allu Arjun’s Rapido commercial attracted controversy. Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) openly made a statement that the ad commercial featuring Allu Arjun is objectionable. The TSRTC claimed that the company showed the organization in a poor light, which could damage the reputation and the trust that the company built with people.

However, Rapido company did not pay attention to the notice and decided to continue promoting the brand with the same content. TSRTC approached the court on the same matter where the verdict has been passed in their favor. TSRTC MD Sajjanar has shared the same on social media.
A big jolt to Rapido. A local court restrained Rapido from telecasting and promoting a ‘derogatory’ commercial against & @TSRTCHQ, which was featured by Tollywood actor @alluarjun. The Court also directed @Google’s online video sharing platform @YouTube to block access to the original and modified version of the commercial video. For over a month, @rapidobikeapp has been widely airing ads in which actor @alluarjun was seen suggesting that it is ‘uncomfortable and dangerous to travel in TSRTC buses by directly showing our bus which was hired by Rapido for the commercial,” shared Sajjanar.

Sajjanar also added, “As they refused to stop airing the ads on various channels and YouTube, @TSRTCHQ approached the Court for relief. Anybody who is found to be flouting the said orders is liable to be prosecuted and Advise them to maintain restraint in the light of the court order. I appeal to the general public to strengthen @TSRTCHQ which is a State-run decades-old corporation serving the transportation needs of lakhs of people each day.”
Sajjanar concluded by saying, “It is our social asset and everyone should own it up as their own and help maintain its smooth functioning and not defame it in any manner whatsoever.”
